Obituary | Pat (Bruce)Kretchmer, senior asset manager for GSA's Public Buildings Service, died Jan. 21, 1999 at the age of 53. Her mother, Eloise Kittrell Bruce, a retired FSS employee, survives. She was a graduate of Southeast High School in Kansas City and the University of MIssouri-Kansas City. A zoology major, Pat began her federal career in 1969 as a biological laboratory technician with the National Communicable Disease Center. She moved to GSA in 1974 as an appraiser trainee. Pat received the designation of Senior Real Property Appraiser (SRPA )in 1981 from the Socirty of Real Estate Appriasers, and the designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) from the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute in 1996. Pat was recognized nationally as an expert in investment and appraisal work of commercial public buildings. GSA and the appraisal profession have lost a valued member.
