Diane Lynn Potter, 57, Kansas City, MO, passed away Monday, April 5, 2004, in Overland Park, KS. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 9, at D.W.Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel, with Father Ben McDaniel officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Diane was born July 21, 1946, in Kansas City, MO, and has lived in the KC metro area her entire life. Not only was she a caring and loving mother, but she also spent many years of her life giving back to the community as a social worker. She will be dearly missed as a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a friend, but will never be forgotten. She is survived by her son, Jeff and wife Alyssa Potter, Overland Park, KS; mother, Josephine (Lutz)Wingfield, Leawood, KS; brother, Gregory Wingfield, Oregon, MO; aunt Marie Flem, Lee's Summit, MO; and friend, Mike Wineinger. She was preceded in death by her father, Morris Wingfield.
